Doors open at 2pm for the concert.

We are delighted to welcome young instrumental finalists from the Worcester Competitive Arts Festival and other special guests too.

Come and enjoy an afternoon of music and support such a worthwhile cause.

MacMillan will also be holding a coffee morning to raise vital funds for their work from 10.30-midday at St Swithun’s Church, Church Street, Worcester on that same day.

The Opera Worcester Community Choir was formed in 2021 to perform in our own way parallel to the Opera Worcester Opera Company (formerly Great Witley Operatic Society.) We are keen to welcome new members to our joyful Saturday singing sessions, led by Philip Prince, so why not come along and join us.

We generally meet on the first and third Saturday of each month at St Mark’s Church, Cherry Orchard, Worcester, WR5 3DW from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Each session costs £5 which covers refreshments and provision of all music.

Opera Worcester Secretary, Caroline Causier explains:

“After the restrictions of lockdown, people have really enjoyed the chance to meet with others, have a cuppa and a good sing. We’ve had some fabulous feedback and we aim to make the session relaxed and enjoyable. We sing songs from the shows, popular songs and carols at Christmas time.

There is no need to be able to read music. People have enjoyed themselves so much they want to meet more often, so we have now increased our meetings to twice a month.”

Opera Worcester have introduced their community choir in order to provide a range of music that everyone can enjoy.

We offer something for everyone so I urge people to explore our website and get involved.”

We perform for enjoyment, well- being and to raise funds for local charities too.
