Genevieve Miles Band

Psychedelic indie fusion taking on shoegaze influences.

Inspired by the likes of Talking Heads, Wolf Alice and Courtney Barnett, Miles continues to evolve and mature, as “a true artist of today's generation.” (Local and Live)

Together with her 5-piece band, her live shows are energising, joyous, affirming, therapeutic occasions to sing, dance and heal. “What a great night, all passion and angst… Patti Smith and P J Harvey Rolled into one."

Her music has been featured on a Hyundai advert, selected on BBC Introducing’s Top Tracks of the year, and endorsed by Goose and Gander.

Recent notable gigs include Camp Bestival, Wychwood Festival, Truck Festival, The Great Escape Festival, Big Retreat Festival. Her wide range of influences were also celebrated when Fontaines D.C shared her acoustic cover of their song ‘I Don’t Belong’ for the online Rock the Breadline fundraiser.

On the live experience, Genevieve says: "I love throwing myself around on stage and shouting as loud as I can: it's for all those years that I stayed quiet, didn’t get mad, people pleased. This is the time of the wild woman: we are loud, emotional, ALIVE."

Bluewalk

With an atmosphere influenced by a wide array of artists, including 60s and 70s artists from Motown and the Beatles to Crosby Stills Nash and America; as well as having reference points in more contemporary indie artists like Tame Impala and Mac Demarco, Bluewalk creates an atmosphere both comforting and exciting; live and in the studio.
The band is currently in the process of establishing themselves on the Birmingham scene, with sights set further afield in addition to recording and writing to enhance and develop their sound.
