Looking for a unique and beautiful space to hold an event? St Swithun's Church is available to hire for a variety of uses, including but not limited to music concerts, arts performances, theatre, wedding receptions, exhibitions, lectures, workshops, markets, selling events and conferences. 

Whether you are a local or national concert promoter, business or charity organisation, we provide competitive rates and that unique wow factor that only a building of our quality and history can create.

Our rates are competitive and we offer three categories of hire:

Rate 1: Community Group / Voluntary Group / Registered Charity (events that benefit the community) - event is free and there is no charge

Price per hour £30
Price per day* £190
Price per week** £700

Rate 2: Amateur Recreational and Hobby Groups / Local Social Events (non-professional arts, entertainment or social events) - event has a ticket price and is charged

Price per hour £55
Price per day* £250
Price per week** £950

Rate 3: Commercial use / Professional Use / Private Hire

Price per hour £85
Price per day* £350
Price per week** £1500

*Full day (based on approximately 8 hours use of building) e.g. 09:00 - 17:00 / 15:00 - 23:00. Note: Our curfew for live entertainment and the sale of alcohol is 22:00.
**Price to week is 5 days continuous use of the church

All sound and lighting equipment is included in our rates, though there are various add-ons, such as a sound engineer for music events, and we have various local suppliers for catering and anything else you can think of.
